About me
We process the reality we see, hear, touch, with our mind. It is our mind that gives reality form, makes it real. To a large extent, whatever happens in our mind… happens.

When that thought germinated, some twenty-odd years ago, I knew that I wanted to create stories. That they have as much value as anything else we deem real.
In the 90’s, I was an angry teenager. If you know, you know... I found solace in Grunge music, Magic: the Gathering, and OG Blizzard games. Since then, I’m pretty sure I’ve used the word dragon more often than the word often. Most mornings, I wake up scrambling to find a piece of paper to write some notes on, which I then proceed to lose. I catch myself thinking about character flaws, or plot lines, or pace – of all things – while in the middle of a dinner party. Or during a phone call with the insurance company.

Pretty hopeless at real-life stuff.

Will tell a story about just any topic.

In a rather long-winded, meandering way.

I love every aspect of creating stories. Yes, even editing. If creating is to conjure a stone out of thin air, editing is the art of chipping away at it until it stops being a stone, and becomes something worthy of someone else’s time.

After college, I spent nearly two decades working in various aspects of the games industry, mostly on the publishing side. I’ve been lucky enough to learn from some of the best in the business, notably at Wizards of the Coast, Blizzard, and Riot Games. In recent years, I’ve gradually managed to reconcile my passion for writing — and creating in general — with my career, first doing some narrative production and design at Embark, then joining Story Games’s writers room and dev studio as a narrative designer.

If you have read me this far, chances are you have a story within you. It may be a little light, struggling to make it out of the darkness. It may be a supernova defying the night sky already. But it’s bright, and that’s what matters. It means you and I are kin, and I want to help. Get in touch for a narrative consult, to talk about a collaboration, or just to geek out about dragons!
