Landfall
Landfall is a high-fantasy world designed for near-infinite adventuring.
Originally envisioned as a world for a pen & paper roleplaying game, Landfall was designed from the start to support a wide array of stories, in a variety of settings. Four different realms make up the main continent.

Talios
A modern take on the classic Arthurian legend setting, Talios serves as a good introduction to the world of Landfall. It is a peaceful, prosperous land of bountiful fields, rolling hills and sprawling forests.

Deep under the surface, however, lines of Aeonic energies flow through the rock. In rare places, they come closer to the surface, their magic affecting the flora and fauna around in unpredictable ways.

Players explore ancient ruins and forgotten caves in search of relics from ages past. They find themselves entangled in the conspiracies of powerful rival families. They are sent to investigate a murder during the Harkening, the yearly harvest celebrations during which the Talioshi Council is elected...

Talios has everything you need to create deep campaigns for beginners or experienced players alike.
Sigvard
Beyond the Everwhites, a chain of treacherous mountains north of Talios, lies the frozen plateau of Sigvard. It is a hostile land, where oversized men war against one another for reasons long-forgotten. Some say they fight merely as a way to keep warm.

Volcanic activity, geysers, blizzards and avalanches threaten players at every turn. If they survive the climate, they will have to content with roaming packs of dire wolves, monstrous grizzly bears and man-hunting eagles. Being a part of a tribe helps, but it comes with frequent, deadly skirmishes against the others...
But the worst part is the threat coming from the Northern Seas. Men who are no longer men. Who walk the ocean floor. Whose eyes have turned black as a moonless night. Silent men, who kill without anger, nor remorse. Consumed by an entropic force they themselves don't understand: the Void.
Sigvard is an advanced setting for players who enjoy a dangerous and meaningful experience, where death can sneak up on you anytime, anywhere.

The Nightlands
Because of a tilt in the planet's rotation, the entire south of the continent is plunged in near-darkness, resulting in one of the strangest settings you will find in Landfall: the fabled Nightlands. Merely a quarter of each day sees indirect, twilight hues, while the rest of the time is full night. As such, the land is a desert where nothing grows.

Why would anyone settle there? Because of what lies underneath the sands: hundreds of dragon fossils whose bones, when reduced to dust, are used to power the most advanced technologies in Landfall. Dragons have been extinct for hundreds of years, but in death, they have made a select few families in the Nightlands rich beyond their wildest dreams...

This wealth doesn't come for free, however. The power struggle between these families takes the form of vicious intrigue. While most of them show a friendly face in their trades with Talios and others, they conceal a brutal treatment of their people. Some say they even trade slaves with faraway lands.

Infused with fantasy tech, astronomancy, steamy courtesans and brutal tyrants, the Nightlands is designed with a mature audience in mind.
The Pirate Republic of Ylan-Cosheen
The relative paradise of Talios has a darker flipside: criminals of all types are quickly exiled to Ylan-Cosheen, a coastal realm made up of the eastern seaboard and the misty islands known as The Myriads.

Two generations ago, the founding pirates made a deal with Talios: in exchange for a sliver of land and self-governance, they would provide a carceral system and protection against invaders from the sea. This is what the official treaties say. In practice, it means Ylan-Cosheen is little more than, well, a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Ylan-Cosheen is a classic cloak-and-dagger setting that's easily adaptable to kids, beginners, or experienced players. Younger audiences will find maps to treasures, embark on trade ships, or attack them for plunder. Adult groups will enjoy morally-grey characters, complex plots involving escaped convicts Talios would rather forget about, rich families trying to hide dark secrets, all the way to terrifying truths lying deep beneath the ocean waves...

The Landfall RPG contains:
- A long world-building document with dedicated sections on cosmogony, the four realms, the people and their history.
- Nine playable classes, each with 30 levels and 60+ abilities to choose from: Warrior, Ranger, Rogue, Mage, Cleric, Shaman, Druid, Bard and Ascendant.
- Four major playable campaigns, dozens of one-shot adventures...

But there's also a project to create a graphic novel in six volumes, based on one of the most quintessential aspects of the Landfall story: the fight between the Aeon and the Void. The former is made of the combined seven forces of reality: light, heat, movement, sound, life, knowledge and love. The latter strives for the opposite: darkness, cold, stillness, silence, death, ignorance and hate.

The first 60 pages of the script are done, with the first two chapters available for download here, if you'd like to check them out. Please be advised that a graphic novel script is a document made by a writer for an artist, and as such, makes for a poor reading experience on its own. If you are an artist and you like what you read, please get in touch, I would love to talk about joining forces!
